Services

We will do a full medical evaluation and spend time getting to know you, as well as, evaluating any specific problems you may have. In our office, you will experience the advantages of the most advanced technology, combined with the commitment of personal attention.

You can be assured – we have a commitment to excellence when it comes to the level of care we provide to you.

Gynecological Care

In every stage of a woman's life, good GYN care is essential. We recommend a yearly physical examination to maintain good health.

Our health care providers are committed to provide you with the most up-to-date techniques and procedures available. GYN care for women through all stages of life is provided at Colbert OB-GYN. Our providers will spend time getting to know you, as well as, evaluating your specific problem. We provide many outpatient procedures/surgeries and also surgeries that only require an overnight hospital stay. Robotic surgery is offered by our physicians.

Bone Density Scanning

Every year, millions of men and women are diagnosed with bone loss. This condition can lead to osteoporosis, a disease that weakens the bones. With medication, diet, and excercise, you can work toward a lifetime of healthy bones.

The strength of bones is measured by their density (thickness). High bone density means bones are less likely to fracture. If you are at risk for bone loss, we will provide you with a bone density scan. This bone density scan is done in our office usually at the time of your visit. We suggest that any post-menopausal woman be tested every two years. Our providers are knowledgeable in providing treatment for osteoporosis and osteopenia.

Obstetrical Care

A new life is the most precious gift of God. At Colbert OB-GYN, we believe that every new life is sacred and unique. Our staff is dedicated to giving you and your unborn child excellent medical care throughout your pregnancy.

As an OB patient, your care will include prenatal care, the delivery, and post delivery care. We will provide you detailed information about nutrition, testing, childbirth education, exercise, anesthesia, high-risk pregnancy, and emergencies.

You will have frequent visits throughout your pregnancy: approximately every 4 weeks until 20 weeks gestation, every 3 weeks until 30 weeks gestation, then more frequent visits until delivery.

At least two ultrasounds are done during your pregnancy, one at your first visit with the nurse to determine fetal age and another at 20 weeks to determine fetal growth.

Ultrasound

Ultrasounds are provided during your pregnancy. One is done at your initial OB visit to determine the fetal age and another at 20 weeks to determine fetal growth. If desired, you can purchase a CD of still images at the time of your ultrasound.

Gender Ultrasounds and 3D/4D Ultrasounds are not included in routine OB care. Both of these scans are done by appointment only and must be paid for that day because insurance will not cover these costs. The cost of a Gender Ultrasound is $40, and it should be scheduled at 16 weeks. The 3D/4D Ultrasound charge is $125, and should be scheduled between 28-32 weeks.

GYN Ultrasounds are also provided in our office.

Women's Health

Our staff provides outstanding obstetric and gynecological care to women of all ages. We provide many services and strive to provide excellent healthcare for you. Included with our OB and GYN services, we provide services that are needed early and later in a woman's life.
